HISTORY OF GLYCIN WATCHES:

The history of Glycin watches strated from 1914, when Eugene Meylan founded the company in Bienne, Switzerland. Meylan was a uncompromised watch engineer who strove for perfection and nothing less. he had profound understanding of both the market demands and possibilities offered by the technological advances of the time.  

Glycin became a supplier of wealthy people who valued highly these work of craftsmanship .around 1931,he introduce to the world market a well functioning self –winding entirely of his own invention. these GLYCIN Eugene Meylan SA self-winding can still be  found in collectors market. The year of 1934, saw the launch of a chronometer range.

In 1984, Breachbuhler purchased Glycine,it is entirely new experience for him. New products were developed the enable Glycine to work successfully in countries such as Scandinavia, Italy, Holland, Germany, and Belgium. A quartz collection was created and an international  network agencies sprang to life again. The new range of  Glycine products spread to the other countries throughout Europe and the Globe.
